CAN EYE CREAM MAKE EYES PUFFY?
Yes, if you go overboard. Dr Jules Nabet, a cosmetic doctor at the Omniya Mediclinic in London, says: ‘Eye creams can make your eyes puffier if you use too much — less is more. Just use a tiny amount of eye cream and apply in tapping motions to aid lymphatic drainage.’
He also suggests sleeping on your back, to prevent water retention in the eye area overnight, and limiting how much salt you eat, as a high intake can cause puffiness.
Or you can avoid creams altogether — instead, try a gel or serum, such as the lightweight Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream or Utopia Instant Firming Eye Serum, which targets crow’s feet, puffiness and dark circles.Read the full article - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-5006275/Elsa-McAlonan-s-Beauty-Upgrades.html

Kate Middleton anti-ageing regime: Expert recommends Duchess do THIS to stay looking young
KATE MIDDLETON, the Duchess of Cambridge, has no trouble looking flawless and fresh-faced as she steps out for public events, but at the age of 35 and expecting her third baby what does she need to do to maintain her youthful looks?
While Kate has beautiful skin, like every woman in her thirties, she must continue to take good care of it. This is the latest advice from skincare formulation scientist Chris Smith.
Having created a new skincare range under the name Utopia, Chris explained how to maintain youthful skin. Chris told Express.co.uk: “Premature skin ageing actually starts at 22 so a good sincere regime is vitally important.
“To maintain youthful skin it’s never too early to use a range like Utopia, as Kate must shift herself from daily damage caused by UV, pollution and infra-red etc. while ensuring lasting hydration and suppleness.”
Utopia has adaptive technology to suit all skin types and claims to transform skin in 24 hours.
But what makes anti-ageing product so good and should we be using a cream or serum?
Chris said: “It’s not really an either or thing - creams and serums work brilliantly together. Serums are designed to be used on the skin underneath creams, almost like a ‘primer’, they are typically packed with active ingredients and are included in a daily skincare regime to offer intensive benefits.
“What they do is form an active (and often protective light film on the skin, before moisturising creams are applied on top.”
What goes into anti-ageing products to make them anti-ageing?
Chris said: “We use ingredients that are proven to promote newer, fresher and more youthful looking skin by promoting the production of collagen (the building block of skin).
“For anti-ageing, we also use ingredients proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and generally improve the appearance of skin by overcoming the signs of ageing, such as age spots, redness, dryness and roughness.
“None of this is of much use though without using nano technology, which helps the formula penetrate deep beyond the surface layers of the skin, into the epidermis and dermis layers where collagen production takes place and wrinkles start to form.
